Epworth Retreat & Recreation Centre
Epworth Camp & Retreat Centre is a versatile riverside venue located on the banks of the Waikato River, approximately 20 minutes south of Cambridge. Surrounded by peaceful natural scenery and set across more than 10 acres of open grounds, Epworth provides an ideal setting for school camps, retreats, conferences, sports teams, and community events. The relaxed environment allows groups to step away from the pace of everyday life while enjoying a space designed specifically for connection, learning, and recreation.
The centre offers a range of venue and accommodation options that can cater for groups of many different sizes. Indoor accommodation can host up to around 170 guests, with a mix of private rooms and bunk-style lodging suited to camps and group stays. Additional camping areas and powered campervan sites allow larger groups to stay onsite. Supporting facilities such as a large hall, meeting spaces, dining areas, and a commercial kitchen make Epworth well suited for workshops, training programmes, and organised group events.
